The trees are in bloom today-

How I’ve always loved the trees

In bloom

But for some reason today,

When I looked at them I couldn’t feel a thing

I thought of You

When did I lose the wonder

I look around and all I see is gray

How I long to see the color-

Today, I’m going to open my eyes

I’ll tie a rope and make a swing

I’ll fly high and wide
